Varietal: Pinot Noir
Region: Burgundy, France
This wine is a selection of fruit from seven separate parcels within Chambolle-Musigny, two of which are rated Premier Cru. The 30-60 year-old vines are hand-harvested, and the wine ages for 18 months in 20% new French oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered for maximal flavor and aromatic complexity, the wine offers notes of black and red cherry, violets, blue fruits, minerals, and baking spices, with suave, fine-grained tannins. Pair this with a flank steak au poivre or aged French cheeses.
