As pioneers of Pinot blanc—one of four rare, ancestral white grape varieties permitted for use in the Champagne appellation—Champagne Pierre Gerbais’s latest avant-garde cuvée comprises 100% Pinot blanc from the 2017 vintage. Harvested only at optimal maturity and ripeness, the fruit is allowed to macerate with its skins for 12 hours, achieving greater textural complexity and a uniquely aromatic expression of Pinot blanc that is seldom, if ever, seen in Champagne.

>This is an intensely floral champagne with apricot, pear and citrus pith notes all beautifully aromatic and long lasting. Starting out citrus forward, the champagne opens to more dried fruit, cold cream and marmalade as hints of raw almond and minerality bring a crisp dimension to the mid-palate.
