Deacon Giles is a distillery based out of Salem, MA founded by two former Harpoon brewers who wanted to delve into the world of craft distilling. Deacon Giles is actually a reference to an old 18th century fictional "evil" distiller in Salem, that was created during the temperance movement as a method to turn people away from spirits. Rebranded now as the mascot for the distillery, all bottles use either original or twists on the original 18th century artwork displaying Deacon Giles.

Original Gin is a western style gin with a base of rye and barley which gives a rounder and sweeter texture. The gin is infused with a distinctive blend of botanicals, including juniper, rose hips, citrus, coriander and mace. The result is a botanical gin with unique sweet and spicy undertones, where all of the spice aromas and flavors are artfully balanced to create a spirit that is equal parts bohemian and refined.
