Italian Pinot Grigio is not like what we've come to expect from its American counterpart. In the hands of the Italians, it's crisp and intriguing, with lots of interest and nuance. Bland wine that tastes like water, this is not. This wine has lovely aromas of pear, ripe apple, lemon, and a bit of spice and florals, with nice bright acidity. Porch pounder alert!

    About The Varietal

    Pinot Grigio

Pinot Gris, also known as Pinot Grigio, is a pinkish grape mutation originating from Pinot Noir. Renowned for its zesty white wines, it also lends itself to crafting fuller-bodied whites and rosé. Northern Italy, Alsace, Oregon, and Germany stand out as regions offering benchmark examples of this versatile grape.
