The Fausoni cru is one of Barbaresco's subtlest, with more delicate, aromatic, and elegant flavors as a result of its sandier soils. Rivella's Fausoni coaxes out extra flavors via green harvest and a submerged-cap fermentation in their 2015, creating a wine that will need cellaring to resolve the tannins, but will reward that extra time with an expressive and refined elegance seen in only a very few other Barbarescos from the vintage.
