Founded in 2000, this project led by the Pizzolo family centers on crafting classic Italian wines using native varietals. Their medium-bodied red is produced organically, and features notes of cherries and dark chocolate.
About The Varietal
Montepulciano is a red wine grape variety that is extensively cultivated in central Italy, with a notable presence in regions like Abruzzo, Marche, and Molise in the east. It's important to note that despite its name, Montepulciano is not grown in the town of Montepulciano in southern Tuscany. Wines made from Montepulciano grapes are admired worldwide for their gentle flavors and rich color pigmentation.
Enjoy with charred vegetables, bolognese, or a hearty clam bake.
