Founded in 1952, the Kumesen Distilling Co began producing spirits from Long Grain Indica Rice and fermented with native Black Koji. By 1989 they were finishing their whiskeys in bourbon casks and Kujira was born.

After 8 years in bourbon barrels and Spanish sherry casks, this aromatic whiskey offers notes of oak, vanilla, plum, and raisins. On the palate, it's lightly sweet with flavors of dried fruit, spice, licorice, and vanilla.
