Anne Gros has established a solid reputation for herself in the wine world after taking over her father's domaine in 1988 at the young age of 25. She oversaw the growth of the domaine from 3 to 6.5 hectares and helped shape Domaine AF Gros to be one of the greatest in Burgundy.
The wine starts with floral and fruity aromas of iris, spices and ripe fruit. The palate mimics the nose while featuring violet, cherries with a slight earthy truffle finish.
About The Varietal
While Gamay is renowned for creating the vibrant, fruit-forward red wines of Beaujolais, it is also cultivated in substantial quantities in different regions of the Loire Valley, Savoie, and western Switzerland.
Enjoy with grilled salmon or tuna, salty appetizers, or pizza night.
