Female Winemaker
During its founding in 1971, Sokol Blosser was one of the first wineries in Oregon, a state that had not yet developed the wine industry that we see today. Founded by Susan Sokol & Bill Blosser, their estate has remained family-owned and run since its inception. Now run by brother & sister Alison and Alex, Sokol Blosser farms sustainably to create wines that express the distinctive flavors of their hillside vineyards. Sokol Blosser’s Pinot Gris is produced in a dry style to accentuate the minerality that this varietal expresses. Fragrances burst forth with peach, ripe pear, honeysuckle and granite. The palate features peach pit, pineapple and apricot. The crisp acidity and refreshing finish lend well to grilled seafood or a rich, creamy pasta.
