"Les Picasses" is the most famous Chinon lieu-dit within the Loire Valley. The soils are chalky, clay-limestone with full southern exposure, resulting in fully ripened, structured wines. "Les Picasses" is the fullest bodied and most structured of Olga Raffault's reds. The bottle features warming spices, black cherry and a mouthwatering acidity. The finish shows chalky tannins that draw you in for your next sip.
About The Varietal
Cabernet Franc is a dark-skinned grape variety of French origin cultivated in numerous wine-producing regions across the globe. It is best recognized for its significant role as a red grape variety in the Loire Valley and as the third most important grape in Bordeaux.
