In 1984, Gilbert Gruet ventured from his Champagne house in France to the state of New Mexico, where he planted experimental vines in the hopes of developing a succesful American winery. The rest, as they say, is history, and for over 30 years the family has continued to produce award winning wines in the American Southwest. This particular offering is 100% Chardonnay, showing bright citrus and mineral notes with flavors of tart green apple and lemon. The structured bone dry finish makes this an excellent pairing for oysters or other light seafood dishes.
About The Varietal
