Georges Vernay took over for his father in 1953 and is recognized for "saving" the Condrieu appellation by leading the way towards making this region one of the most recognized in the world. Les Terrasses de l'Empire comes from 35 year old Viognier vines, from several small plots within Condrieu. Ripe nectarine and peach aromas lead into a palate of peaches and cream. The perfect pairing for Thanksgiving dinner or anything in a cream sauce.
