Tormaresca is a wine branch owned by the renowned Antinori family, one of Italy's most respected and historic winemaking dynasties. The grapes in this bottle are sourced from vineyards in Puglia, known for its warm climate and picture perfect conditions for Primitivo. Loved for its full-bodied and rich palate, expect flavors of blackberry jam, black cherries and juicy plum. A layer of spice mingles with the powerful fruit and kiss of oak on the finish. The velvety palate would best compliment grilled meats, hearty stews or aged cheese.
About The Varietal
Primitivo, a dark-skinned grape, is renowned for yielding inky and tannic wines, notably exemplified in Primitivo di Manduria and its naturally sweet Dolce Naturale version. While debates about its historical origins persist, there is little doubt that Primitivo has found its contemporary home in southern Italy, particularly in the region of Puglia.
Enjoy with burgers, meatloaf, chicken thighs, and hearty vegetables.
