The 2019 Susana Balbo Signature Malbec, with a 6% infusion of Petit Verdot from Paraje Altamira in Uco Valley, underwent a 13-month aging process in 30% new barrels. This wine exhibits a captivating purple hue when poured into the glass. Its intricate bouquet showcases an array of aromas, including plum and sour cherry, accented by delicate notes of violets, cedar, and herbal hints. On the palate, it unfolds with a sense of freedom, characterized by juicy freshness and finely textured, chalky tannins that impart structure and depth. The finish is succinct and marked by the presence of dynamic tannins.

    About The Varietal

    Malbec

The dark and inky black-blue grape variety, Malbec, originates from Cahors in South West France. However, due to its remarkable success, particularly in the vineyards of Mendoza, Argentina, Malbec has transitioned from relative obscurity to achieving international recognition. It is now primarily renowned as the iconic wine grape of Argentina.
