Swiss wines are notorious for being very good quality, and also being very difficult to find! We were thrilled when one of our importers showed up with a sample of this white wine, made from the Chasselas variety. The wine is bright and fresh, with citrus, peach, and nectarine flavors and a distinctively savory, oxidative note.

    About The Varietal

    Chasselas

Chasselas is the predominant and extensively cultivated white grape variety in Switzerland, with a strong presence in the Vaud region. The finest expressions of Chasselas can exhibit complexity and richness, offering a variety of fruity, floral, and mineral notes. They are characterized by good acidity and the potential for aging gracefully in storage. As these wines mature, they develop a more honeyed and nutty character, accompanied by a deep golden hue.
