*4R* 2014 Pierre Naigeon Lavaux Saint Jacques Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru (Burgundy, FR)

Pierre Naigeon is the 5th generation winemaker in his family to be based in the Gevry-Chambertin making wine, but the Naigeon family have been in this region since at least the 1700s, working as vignerons and barrel-makers. So it is safe to say, Pierre and the rest of the Naigeon's know what they are doing.

His Gevrey-Champertin is floral and elegant on the nose with an undertone of earth and spice. The palate is richer than most Red Burgundys, boasting earthy fruity notes, spice and supple tannins.
