This Picpoul de Pinet is grown in vineyards near the oyster beds on the Mediterranean sea so is the perfect companion to any shellfish meal. A classic example of why Picpoul is dubbed the "Southern Muscadet," this wine is briny & mineral driven with melon & citrus notes and acidity so bright it keeps you coming back sip after sip.
About The Varietal
Piquepoul, also known as Picpoul, is an age-old white wine grape variety originating from the historic and abundant Languedoc-Roussillon region in southern France. The term "Pique-poul" translates to "stings the lip," a direct allusion to the grape's notably high acidity that imparts a lip-puckering sensation.
Enjoy with grilled shrimp, crab salad, grilled scallops, or a cucumber salad.
