Warmer growing regions, fully ripened grapes, extended barrel-aging add to the wine’s body
This wine boasts a deep ruby hue accented by violet highlights. Its aromatic profile reveals vibrant notes of raspberry, red currant, mulberry, and Satsuma plum, alongside an enticing bouquet of violets, lavender, crushed floral herbs, anise, and a medley of spices including pepper and mace. On the palate, it offers a rich and intense experience, characterized by well-defined, concentrated red fruit flavors such as red currants, sliced plum, and spicy wild berries. These flavors transition seamlessly into a crunchy mid-palate, supported by firm yet velvety tannins that provide structure and a commendable length to the finish.
About The Varietal
The traditional and robust blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre is typically linked to the southern Rhone, notably in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. However, exceptional wines with this blend are also crafted in the New World, with Australia and California standing out as regions that produce highly praised examples.
Enjoy with charred vegetables, bolognese, or a hearty clam bake.
